Clear Braces

A smiling woman wearing clear braces

Invisalign and Fast Braces are two systems of straightening teeth without the use of traditional metal braces.

Both systems employ a series of clear, removable aligners that gradually give you the smile you’ve always dreamed of.

These aligners are practically invisible, meaning that most people won’t even realize you’re wearing them.

Invisalign and ClearCorrect are very versatile systems, meaning that they can be used to correct a wide range of dental and orthodontic issues such as:

  • overcrowded teeth
  • rotated teeth
  • widely spaced teeth
  • overbite
  • underbite

These alignment problems can contribute to gum disease and wearing down of teeth, as well as painful jaw and joint problems.

Now offering digital impressions. No more gooey impression material. Digital photos are sent to Invisalign.

How Do Aligners Work?

After your examination by your dentist, you will receive a series of clear acrylic aligners specifically designed and manufactured for you.

The aligners will be numbered. You’ll start with the first aligner and wear it for two to three weeks and then switch to the next one. Gradually, these aligners will shift your teeth into their proper positions.

Aligners should be worn at least 22 hours a day. They should only be removed to eat and clean your teeth which means that they are worn while you sleep.

Every case is different, of course, but most people can see the results they want within one to two years.

What is it Like to Prepare for Aligners?

First, complete information on your teeth and your bite will be sent to technicians at the company chosen to prepare your aligners. Detailed images using a camera that fits comfortably in your mouth, gel impressions, and x-rays may be sent.

The technicians will design your aligners and send you the plan. You will actually be able to preview the realignment of your teeth and the final result.

When you and your dentist are satisfied with the result, the order for your aligners will be placed. When they arrive, you will meet with your dentist to try the first one on and get familiar with their use.
